Artist Statement

Prisma Facie makes objects that ask to be experienced, touched, and worn.

Working at the intersection of parametric design and physical making, the practice explores flexibility—both literal and conceptual. With music, the studio explores layers of meaning and juxtapositions. Geometric jewelry and objects integrate with fabric, bend with the body, and challenge hierarchies between craft and design.

Much of the work involves building outward from a central concept. In music, layers of sound are crafted around a core rhythm or melody—mathematical sequences transformed through physical variations for organic quality. In objects, solid forms give way to an interior lattice of support. This inside-out approach interrogates form and function in generative, evolving ways.

The studio uses 3D printing, pen plotting, and computational geometry to create forms that were previously impossible or unstable. Each piece is a small experiment in what becomes achievable when traditional boundaries dissolve.
